Before Nahomie wrote the piece, she made it a point to sit down with us for lunch and discusses our love story and vision for the wedding. It was a good time meeting with her as she had us laughing, smiling and feeling at ease during the entire meet. She was a great listener and took notes during our conversation to make sure she was able to capture the special part of us and what made our relationship unique in her piece. She prayed with us during this meeting and provided creative ideas on how she can bring the piece together.
After our meeting with her, she continued to follow up with us and sent us preview samples of the piece to allow us an opportunity to offer suggestions and feedback. I’m glad she did, because it allowed us to be apart of her creative process and tailor it in a fashion that truly reflects who we are as a couple.
The day of the wedding, she was ready and flexible to meet any demands and performed her best! We received so many compliments about the spoken word piece afterwards and people loved how it added a different aspect to the standard wedding ceremony.
